Sasol bursary program

The Sasol bursary program consists of a comprehensive package covering financial as well as development support during the study period. Scholarships are awarded for full-time university studies in engineering and science. After the successful completion of the study period, students in the Sasol group can be employed through our Graduate Development Program.

The Sasol bursary program consists of:

  • Undergraduate bursaries – For candidates who want to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science, this level includes honors degrees in our context.
  • University of Technology Bursaries – for candidates who wish to obtain diplomas or B Eng. Technical degrees at a University of Technology.
  • Postgraduate bursaries – for candidates who have either completed a degree or a degree or wish to pursue a master’s or doctoral degree in science or engineering.

The Sasol Foundation offers all-inclusive scholarships to talented individuals who plan to study full-time for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree or diploma to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and non-STEM careers. The scholarship is extended to students who want to study in the occupational health and social science professions.

The bursary covers the following:

  • 100% of the prescribed university fees, registration fees and examination fees.
  • An amount equal to the average rate of accommodation in a single room in a university residence.
  • An amount for meals based on three meals per day, as determined by the university.
  • An amount of about R12,000 per year, for books and pocket money.

If you know what it takes to become part of this exciting team, the Sasol Youth South Africa programs are ready to change your life.
